Adult Discipleship Groups
In the upstairs classroom, Arnold Johnson leads a group as together they take a close look at the book of Acts. What was God up to in the days after Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection? How does God want to work today like God did in those early days of the church? Arnold will lead a verse by verse discussion as well as a prayer time where the group supports one another in prayer.
Also upstairs, Pastor Elda leads a group for young adults as they talk about what it means to be a friend. Many people believe that friendship depends on meeting the right people; but God tells us in the Bible that true friendship depends on being the right person. So that, the basic principle of true friendship is not who we know, but who we are.
In the "baby room" in the back of the Sanctuary, Rhonda Heal leads a women's group looking at the book of Galatians. It is a great time of discussion as together they wrestle with what Paul says about the Christian life and what it means for disciples of Jesus today.
Pastor Kory leads this group. They are currently looking at what God says about prayer. What does it meant to communicate with God? How do we enter God's presence in the midst of our daily lives? This group is looking at what Scripture teaches about longing for God, pleading with God and even wrestling with God.
